Privacy Policy

The Listing Doctor (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates ListingDr.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. If you have questions, email us at hello@listingdr.com.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are managed and hashed by our authentication provider (Supabase); we never see your plaintext password.
• Shop connection data. If you connect an Etsy shop, we store OAuth tokens and basic shop metadata (shop name, shop ID) so we can read your listings on your behalf.
• Listing data. When you scan a listing, we store its public details — title, tags, description, photos, views, sales, and favorites — along with the diagnosis we produce and any AI-drafted rewrites you generate.
• Billing information. If you upgrade to a paid plan, our payments processor (Stripe) handles your card data. We store only your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers; we never see or store your card number.
• Notifications. If you opt into web-push notifications or email follow-ups, we store the subscription endpoint or email needed to send them.
• Preferences. Your theme preference (light / dark / system) is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.

How we use your information

• To diagnose your listings and generate prescribed fixes.
• To send transactional and reminder emails about scans you’ve run.
• To process subscription payments and manage your plan.
• To improve our scoring engine — we may review aggregated, de-identified data to make the diagnosis better.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your listing data to train third-party AI models.

Service providers we use

We share data with the following processors only to operate the service:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Anthropic — generating AI rewrites and explanations.
• OpenAI — optional image generation (gpt-image-2), only when used.
• Resend — transactional and reminder email delivery.
• Etsy — to read shop and listing data you authorize.
• Vercel — application hosting.

Cookies and tracking

We use a single short-lived cookie during the Etsy authentication flow (a 10-minute, HTTP-only OAuth verifier). We store your theme preference in your browser’s local storage. We do not use third-party analytics, marketing pixels, or cross-site tracking.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your scan history for as long as your account is active. You can request export or permanent deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@listingdr.com. Once you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents have specific rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@listingdr.com.

Children

The Listing Doctor is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and notify you in the app or by email when reasonable.
